About

The Transmogolympics was a contest conceived in 2012, as a way for players of World of Warcraft to enjoy one of the newer features of the game: Transmogrification.  Since it’s inception in late 2011, the ability to customize a character’s gear and weapon look has become incredibly popular both in the game and in the World of Warcraft blogging community.

To expand on that, players had to create nine different outfits for events based directly on specific events of the Summer Olympic games, coinciding at the same time as the Mogolympics.  The entrant was also assigned a flag bearer, though this particular outfit would not succumbed to the judging process of the other nine outfits.

The event end up involving forty-seven different contestants and four judges and culminated with a closing ceremony on September 5th, 2012.
